Conquest Racing had an immensely successful opening round in the GT4 America Championship, and the team has their sights set on continuing their winning streak at NOLA Motorsports Park. Michai Stephens and Jesse Webb claimed back-to-back victories in the Silver class with the #34 JMF Motorsports | Farrow Mercedes-AMG GT4. The fresh teammate pairing worked together brilliantly and efficiently to deliver a perfect weekend sweep. The Brazilian duo of Custódio Toledo and Paulo Carcasci also secured a win in Race 1 on board their #35 Zuri Mercedes-AMG GT4 in the AM Class. With two strong teammate pairings, equipped with experience and skill, the team is confident in their ability to execute on another excellent round.
“The team and I are excited to return to The Big Easy for the second round of the SRO Pirelli GT4 Silver Championship,” said Michai Stephens. “As always, our goal is to put our best foot forward from one session to the next and welcome the challenges that will present themselves along the way.”
“I am super excited to head to NOLA for the second round of GT4 America,” added Jesse Webb. “I am looking forward to getting behind the wheel again and getting back to work with the team. Michai and I are ready for the challenge this weekend, and I know we are confident that the JMF Motorsports / Conquest Racing crew will be pushing hard to give us a great car so we can go out there and pick up another set of great results.”
Stephens has some unfinished business to take care of in New Orleans, as last year’s outing was marked by poor luck and results that did not reflect his true performance and abilities. This time around, he and Webb will be fully focused on getting on to the top step of the podium and redefining the team’s history at this circuit.
“I went to NOLA Motorsports Park for the first time just two weeks ago and absolutely loved it,” explained Paulo Carcasci. “We had two very good days of testing there and progressed a lot across the sessions. It was essential for us to get some track time and gain some experience before heading into the second round so we can be as competitive as possible. The team did some great work and we are ready to fight for another podium for this upcoming weekend.”
“It was great to be able to have some track time leading up to the event itself,” expressed Custódio Toledo. “I’m looking forward to racing here and seeing what this round has in store for us! It’s always fun to be able to come to a new venue and test your limits, and I feel we’re in a good position following our test days from a couple of weeks ago.”
This will be Toledo and Carcasci’s first time racing at NOLA Motorsports Park with Conquest Racing. Following a testing day that took place a couple of weeks prior, they have become acquainted with the track and are feeling confident that they can carry out another great result in their 2023 campaign.
The second round of the season will kick off Saturday, April 29th, at 5:00 PM CT, while Race 2 will take place Sunday, April 30th, at 11:30 AM CT. Both races will be broadcast live on GT World’s YouTube channel.
