Conquest Racing is thrilled to announce that they will be fielding a pair of Mercedes-AMG GT4 in the SRO GT4 America series. The #34 JMF Motorsports | Farrow Mercedes will be co-commanded by team regular Michai Stephens, who will be joined by young Canadian driver Jesse Webb in the Silver class.
Brazilian drivers Custódio Toledo and Paulo Carcasci will share their #35 Zuri Mercedes-AMG GT4 in the AM class during the season-opener at Sonoma Raceway, then at NOLA Motorsports Park. They will be back on track at Road America in August, before finishing their season at Sebring International Raceway in September.
“It’s an incredible privilege to be returning to the GT4 paddock with JMF Motorsport / Conquest Racing,” said Stephens. “The team and I are excited to test ourselves again in the 2023 season and I’m very happy to have Jesse Webb along for the ride. We’ve faced some monumental learning lessons in the previous seasons that have allowed us to grow day by day. I don’t see this year being any different and I feel honored to be taking another step forward in these challenges alongside an organization of this caliber and potential. May good health and safety find everyone within the paddock and beyond – Bring on 2023!”
“I am very excited to be a part of this program this year,” added Jesse Webb. “I am very thankful for the opportunity that JMF Motorsport | Conquest Racing have provided me with, and I couldn’t be happier with my driver pairing. Michai and I get along really well and work flawlessly together. I truly believe we are ready to take on this challenge and fight for the championship this year!”
“I am really looking forward to racing with Conquest Racing again this year,” said Paulo Carcasci. “Custódio and I had two podium finishes in last year’s final races. I would like to capitalize on that momentum for our first race in Sonoma.”
Last year in Sonoma, Michai Stephens claimed a pole position and two podium finishes. With rising star Jesse Webb, Conquest Racing will be looking to clinch a pair of victories during the season-opener this coming weekend.
Toledo and Carcasci ended their 2022 campaign with runner-up race finishes at Sebring and the season-ending race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
“Our GT4 program is well positioned between our Ferrari Challenge and GT3 operations,” stated Eric Bachelart, Team Owner. “It gives us an opportunity to develop young, talented drivers, thanks to John Farrow’s unconditional support, along with JMF Motorsports. Our GT4 program also gives a chance to Ferrari Challenge drivers to step up into GT racing.”
Stephens co-drove to two race wins last year and kept the pressure on the eventual class champions straight into the Indy finale where they closed out the year with a pair of Silver-class podiums, including a close second overall and in class in Sunday’s final race of the season.
“Michai Stephens returns with the team for a third season, co-commanding the #34 Farrow | JMF Motorsports Mercedes AMG. He will be of great help to our young Canadian driver Jesse Webb, who will be kicking off his GT4 career,” Eric Bachelart continued. “Custódio Toledeo and Paulo Carcasci expand on their stellar collaboration with the team aboard the #35 Zuri Conquest Racing entry. I am excited for this season to get going at Sonoma this coming weekend.”
The season will kick off Saturday, April 1st, at 4:50 PM PST, while Race 2 will take place Sunday, April 2, at 10:55 AM PST. Both races will be broadcast live on GT World’s YouTube channel.
